Dear Parents and Guardians:

The Mifflinburg Elementary Home and School Association (ME HSA) would like to welcome you to our organization.  Our objective is to build a closer working relationship between school and home.  Several exciting things take place through the HSA during the school year to make this happen:

                  Book Fairs                                         Memory Book
                  Dr. Seuss Week                                Red Ribbon Week
                  End of the Year School Picnics         Related Arts
                  Holiday Parties                                  Santa’s Secret Workshop

These activities are all supported by our primary fundraiser, the “Spell-A-Thon,” a school-wide event, which is held in February. 

In order to provide these great memory maker programs for our Kindergarten through Third Grade schoolchildren, we need YOU!  We invite you to please join us at Home and School Association meetings.  The HSA schedule for the 2007-2008 academic year will be on Tuesdays, at 7:00 p.m. in the Mifflinburg Elementary School Large Group Instruction room (LGI); childcare will be provided during meetings:

September 11, 2007     November 12, 2007     January 8, 2008     March 11, 2008    May 13, 2008

Being involved truly makes a difference — last year’s installation of the new playground equipment as well as the success of the record breaking “Spell-A-Thon” fundraiser, would not have been possible without the efforts of everyone involved.  Volunteering for the HSA is so very rewarding!  We feel this way because of the children’s response:  SMILES…. Whether it was in celebration of new equipment on the playground or walking into the cherished tradition of Santa’s Secret Workshop, we saw a lot of smiles this past year and look forward to creating many opportunities for lots more this year!

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who made the 2006-2007 school year such a success. We look forward to working with all of you again this year, as well as welcoming new parent, guardian and teacher volunteers.  We hope to see you at the first meeting.  Should you have questions, please know, the officers of the HSA will gladly assist in any way possible.
